By purchasing or using a plastic/electronic gift card, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms of Use. Plastic/electronic gift cards may not be resold. Plastic/electronic gift cards cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash. The balance on plastic/electronic gift cards does not expire. Gift cards are not credit or debit cards. They represent a prepaid purchase at a Dooly’s location in Québec (excluding Îles-de-la-Madeleine).
Purchase of a Gift Card
Plastic gift cards can be purchased at any Dooly’s location in Québec (excluding Îles-de-la-Madeleine). Electronic gift cards can be purchased on our website: https://www.doolysquebec.com. Gift cards must be purchased in Canadian dollars. Gift cards purchased online can be paid for with a valid MasterCard or VISA credit card. Gift cards purchased in-store may also be paid for using a debit card, credit card, or cash. Dooly’s Québec Inc. reserves the right to change accepted payment methods at any time, including, without limitation, accepted credit cards. All gift card sales are final. You cannot cancel an online gift card order once it has been paid. Dooly’s Québec Inc. reserves the right to withhold, suspend, cancel, or refuse the purchase of a plastic/electronic gift card if it suspects fraud, a violation of these Terms of Use, or a security risk related to the order. In such a case, Dooly’s Québec Inc. will notify you by email. Dooly’s Québec Inc. cannot be held responsible if electronic gift cards are not received due to incorrect information entered when placing the order (e.g., incorrect email address). By purchasing an electronic gift card online, you represent and warrant to Dooly’s Québec Inc. that: 1.You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you provide to Dooly’s Québec Inc.; 2.If an electronic gift card is to be delivered to someone other than yourself, there is a personal or family relationship between you and that person, as defined under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and that person has given you consent and the authority to provide their name and email address to Dooly’s Québec Inc. for processing the order; 3.You acknowledge that Dooly’s Québec Inc. may need to share your information with the recipient of the electronic gift card to process the order, and you authorize it to do so; 4.You are not violating any contract, obligation, or law, and are not infringing any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights of any person. You can add funds to your Dooly’s gift card at all participating Dooly’s locations. A minimum amount of $10.00 is required to activate a Dooly’s gift card.
Use of a Gift Card
The full amount loaded on the gift card is applied to the total eligible amount of your purchase at a Dooly’s location. Any remaining balance on the gift card may be used for a future purchase at a Dooly’s location. Gift cards may be deemed void if they are altered, damaged, or deteriorated, as determined by authorized staff at the time of use. Dooly’s plastic/electronic gift cards can be used at any Dooly’s location in Québec (excluding Îles-de-la-Madeleine). If there is a remaining balance after using your gift card(s), you must choose another method of payment (debit card, credit card, or cash) to complete the transaction. To pay in-store using a gift card, you must provide the gift card number and barcode, both found on the gift card.
Checking Gift Card Balance
You can check the balance of a gift card at a Dooly’s location. For every transaction made using your gift card, you will receive a receipt (proof of transaction) clearly showing the updated balance. You must verify each receipt and keep them for future reference if needed.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Gift Cards
Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be recovered or replaced. Gift cards may be voided if altered, damaged, or deteriorated (see above). In the case of an online purchase, once Dooly’s Québec Inc. electronically sends the gift card to the indicated recipient, it is no longer responsible for the gift card, including if it is lost or stolen. If you ordered an electronic gift card online and the recipient has not received it within the stated timeframe, ask them to check their junk email folder. If it is still not received, contact us by email at: [email protected]. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all required information when purchasing an electronic gift card, including the email address. Dooly’s Québec Inc. cannot correct information after an order has been confirmed. Dooly’s Québec Inc. cannot be held responsible if electronic gift cards are not received due to incorrect information entered. The purchaser becomes the owner of the gift card and assumes the risk of loss once Dooly’s Québec Inc. has electronically delivered the gift card to the recipient and it has been received. Dooly’s Québec Inc. is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen gift cards. Gift cards must be safeguarded like cash.
Cancellation or Refusal of a Gift Card
Dooly’s Québec Inc. reserves the right to cancel or refuse a gift card at any time if it is linked to an unauthorized transaction.
General Terms of Use
These Terms of Use, as well as any matters related to the purchase or use of gift cards, are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute relating in any way to a gift card shall be resolved by the courts of Québec, and you acknowledge that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over such disputes. Dooly’s Québec Inc. reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use. However, any modification will be communicated to the consumer at least 30 days before it comes into effect, by written notice indicating the nature of the changes, the effective date, and the previous version of the terms. The consumer may refuse these modifications and terminate the contract without charge, penalty, or indemnity by sending notice to that effect no later than 30 days after the modification comes into force, if it results in an increase in their obligations or a reduction in the obligations of Dooly’s Québec Inc.
